This Tweet incited many controversial responses @MTAS_Official

West end covers and several twitter users in response; shared disappointment in the popular west end production Les Miserable’s decision. As an admin of a bustling musical theatre forum I am more than aware that several people attend the west end simply for their favourite covers. With no explanation of this decision many have speculated (as wandering minds will) and concluded that the production simply does not recognise the talent of these relentless covers.

With no explanation it is not hard to see why this has been a popular conclusion. Many have expressed disappointment and anger, others going as far to suggest boycotting the production all together.

Les Mis is a brilliant production which follows the events of a French revolution. Besides its first opening period with some pretty controversial reviews – it is undoubtedly a favourite amongst many. We do not believe a few boycotts will harm ticket sales and we do not want it to. MTAS have shared their response via our twitter account @MTAS_Official (see below)

But for those we want to contact the producer for answers: info@camack.co.uk  <<Let us know via our comment tab if you get a response before we do. We kindly ask that all who share in our disappointment try and get this hashtag trending in support of these relentless covers>> #UnderstudiesRule – Will you join in our crusade? Who knows maybe us little people will inflict change or get the answers!

Little people know when little people fight, we may look easy pickings but we’ve TOGETHER we’ve got some bite!

Let us know your thoughts via twitter @MTAS_Official, similarly you can share your thoughts directly on this page! It’s a bye for now!
